Again , congrats to 45 champs. I saw some of them down here. Pretty exciting stuff. Jackson was on cloud nine when I saw him. Now to the 47s. We lost our first three games to kennet blue rock ,so. md. ,and jacksonville . We beat the W. Pa team thurs. the only undefeated team coming into the fifth game. We also defeated N.O. thurs afternoon. Our run differential kept us out of the semis. with a record of 2 and 3. I'm not going to get into the lost game details .It was'nt pretty .The game we won against the W Pa. started off poorly. Top of 1st down 6 -0. Artie settled down and pitched a gem .Our defense came together and the bats started to click. Final was 9-7 .I don,t have any stats but I know Pete G. had a great tourny at the plate. He had to hit at least .750. We defeated N Orleans pretty heavily. It was a great tournament and a good bunch of guys to play with. We could'nt have had better weather. 70 to 80 and very breezy everyday. Great for a catcher. Tues. game started ,but was continued wed. due to rain. We played 4 games in two days.
