How about including a Rookie of the year award. In your next meeting, would you please table this request.
Really enjoyed my first year playing in the league. Took me 28 years to play baseball again, but the effort was well worth it. Met a good bunch of players, and have had the good fortune to acquire myself with new, good friends.
Had a tough injury (bicep tear/detached tendon), but am rehabing, and will be ready to go in April. Had a solid year, and will only be better in 2007.
Also, want the board to know, that I have some contacts in Rotterdam ,NY, and would like to recommend that our league (48 and over), take a look at playing some night games at Rotterdam Memorial Park.
I've got a few friends in high places, in Rotterdam, my old stomping grounds !!! Will need a schedule, and present to the Parks and Recs director, John DeGeorgio, a good friend of mine.
It would be a nice touch for some night games. Let me know what you think. I will attend a meeting at Rotterdam Town Hall, with one or our Leagues reps, after our schedule comes out.
