37 Schedule
(Preview)
When will the 37 schedule be posted on the website? We've heard bits and pieces about possible changes, since the original schedule had so many problems. For weeks we read that the revised schedule is "coming soon." But when?
In my eight years in the league it's never been this bad before...

Shameless Self-Promotion, Act #316
(Preview)
Sorry, I have to share this: I just learned that my new children's book, Six Innings (ages 9-up), will be reviewed in this Sunday's New York Times Book Review. It's a nice coup, since not many children's titles get that attention, and a first time for me. Hopefully the review will be positive! But, hey,...

Albany Braves in Vegas
(Preview)
The Albany Braves had a good tournament in Vegas. We went 2-1 and lost our bid for the playoffs by 3 runs in runs allowed. Many thanks to Kevin Moon who helped me manage and was a fun roommate and a real class guy.
The next tournament is the World series in Phoenix Oct. 19th through the 24th. I'm taking a 35...

Over the years I have never used this forum for other than league of baseball matters but I and many other feel strongly about what is happenin in our lives and the impact of

O's v. Jays and forfeit philosophy ...
(Preview)
... This, my fellow CDMSBL family, is exactly what I am talking about re: forfeits.
Bear with me here as I paint the picture.
First, Chris Abrams called me in the morning to get the phone numbers of a few of my 46 players who might want to help out the Orioles. He had no luck.
I called O's manager Paul Sc...

Re: Forfeit
(Preview)
Hey guys, there is no reason to believe we will forfeit again. Like I said, this is the only forfeit loss I incurred in 10 years in this league.
I'm certainly aware of the options at my disposal to be sure we don't forfeit, i.e., Bulletin Board messages, making calls, etc. Trust me, I have loads of guys I...
