... TV 6 is going to put a story on tonight's news beginning 5 p.m. (like in 3 minutes). But the main thing here is that the LL officials will be holding work sessions every weekend if anyone is available. Mostly cleanup first.
Any time you can give will be greatly appreciated. I was interviewed on TV 6 and I mentioned our league and that I was going to get volunteers to help.
I'll be there Sunday morning and early afternoon before our 46 game. Unfortunately, I'll be playing in Cooperstown on Saturday, so that day is shot for me.
Alumni of the RLL would be most welcome. Any questions, please don't hesitate to call me at 461-7850. The RLL president is Tom Burgess at 488-9922.
Just spoke with Tom Burgess people will be down there working on the property this weekend. Plans are in the works for a fundraiser. I'll keep the league updated as I'm sure Jimmy K. will. Many members in our league grew up in Rensselaer or played on other cities All-Star Teams that came in to play. It would be nice if the league could chip in as I'm sure it will somehow. I hope the Picture I attached helps show the severity of the flooding....... Complete Story in this mornings TU (Aug 15th) BTW Jimmy played on the Elks club with Abner Doubleday.
