SPORTS DOME SCHEDULE

I have reserved the Adirondack Sports Complex for the Monday nights in March from 10:00 PM to Midnight. I know its a late slot but it gives us two hours to play. I am counting on all of you who expressed interest to join in. I am also hoping that more players will come up so that we have around 20 players each night. We will divide the usage fee by the number of players so bring some teammates and keep our costs down.

For those of you who have not been to the Dome, we will do some stretching,a quick BP and then scrimmage. It is a great opportunity to see some live pitching and work on your game. And you won't really realize that you are out late until Tuesday morning! Let's play ball!!

You can contact me vie a-mail at dballjr@nycap.rr.com, or at my home 475-9560 or just show up. Please bring your own wood bat. Thanks.

Quick update. The fee for the dome is $211/hour. Total for the Monday nights is $422. Not bad if we can divide that between 20 players. Less than 20 and it becomes very costly. So, unless I get twenty firm commitments by Monday morning, I am going to cancel my reservation. Let's get busy!

thats WAY too much dough...it should be at least half that. This is excess capacity for the dome, if they dont rent to us they rent to no-one, its empty at 10pm on a mon night. This price should be highly negotiable....dont settle for that price...

Hi guys,
Darren from Roy Hobbs in Saratoga.

You guys should somehow tap into our league for the few extra guys you need for the dome.

I know there are people willing to go if the numbers are right.

Let me know how the interest for Monday the 5th is, and I'll see what I can do.

I do agree with the rate, but they may be firm due to overhead.

I will check back throught the weekend and keep you posted.

I have a call in to the dome to discuss the rates. I will know more on Friday.

Darren, please encourage players from your league to contact met about playing. I understand that players from the Roy Hobbs league may live closer to the dome. We would be glad to have you join us we just don't want to go too far over the 20 player number.

Thanks.

We have around ten people who said they would be at the dome on March 5th. Unfortunately thats 1/2 the number we need. I am cancelling our reservation for the 5th.

The time slot should be open for next week. If I get 20 confirmed players, I will reserve the space for next Monday. Post your response on this board or e-mail me at dballjr@nycap.rr.com. Thanks.
