The White Sox start the season 1-0 as they defeat the expansion Shaskys in a 5 inning 15-1 win. The Sox were led with a strong pitching performance by Mark Johnson with 6 strikeouts and only giving up 1 earned run in four innings of work. Rick Caruso came in to get the final three outs with two K's in the 5th. Everyone in the offensive lineup scored at least one run. Good job White Sox!!!
Nice job by interim manager Fred Phillips in J.D.'s absence. Great start for 2007 season. keep up the good work, GO SOX! Good luck to the Shasky's, you will enjoy playing in this league.
