The 38 Pirates played a great game last night at New Scotland. Pitcher Kane shut down the Marlins. I think we had 3 hits as he through a complete game shutout He changed speeds and located his pitches. The Pirates played great defense, turning a critical double play with the bases loaded in 6th, and throwing out a runner at third from center field in the 7th. Way to go, Pirates. You are a good bunch of guys, and you are playing great baseball. Lookout league.
Thanks Jim, we do have a good bunch of guys, but even we can't match the etiquette you guys displayed yesterday by stopping the game to shake hands with the first runner to reach 2nd base. I know you don't see that many guys on 2nd when you pitch, particularly when they get there without bunting .
