Blue Thunder 11, Cougars 4

On a cloudy, cold afternoon, the Cougars came out to play ball against Blue Thunder for the first time this season. Behind to 7-hit pitching of Rich Garbarino, the timely hitting of Pete LaFlamme and Bob Wietz that led to an 8-run fourth inning, the Thunder walked away with an 11-4 victory. Thank you to the Cougars who played a terrific no holds barred game of true sportsmenship. All the players walked away with no injuries, no sores, no broken bones, as it should be. Thanks again to the Cougars for a terrific game on a chilly, wet day. Hats off to Frank Montagano who has put together a fine team of players - they cannot be counted out. It seems that this season, no one team can be counted out, truly a highly competetive division. See you Cougars on 7/15/07. Wish it was more often. Bob Lounsbury, General Manager of Blue Thunder

Thanks to Bob Lounsbury for his generous comments.

As anyone who has played in the 47s already knows, Bob is a great guy. He embodies the best in sportsmanship and camaraderie, and his teams are always a pleasure to play against.

My thanks and compliments to Blue Thunder for a good game, and congratulations on the win.

Frank
Mgr., Columbia-Greene Cougars
