On a cloudy, cold afternoon, the Cougars came out to play ball against Blue Thunder for the first time this season. Behind to 7-hit pitching of Rich Garbarino, the timely hitting of Pete LaFlamme and Bob Wietz that led to an 8-run fourth inning, the Thunder walked away with an 11-4 victory. Thank you to the Cougars who played a terrific no holds barred game of true sportsmenship. All the players walked away with no injuries, no sores, no broken bones, as it should be. Thanks again to the Cougars for a terrific game on a chilly, wet day. Hats off to Frank Montagano who has put together a fine team of players - they cannot be counted out.
