After the majestic ride to Kingston, the Met's came out on top in a nail biter 2-1 behind the complete game pitching of Lex Herrlett, who ran his record to 4-0. We jumped out qucik with 1 in the top of the first. had bases loaded with no outs only to have John latore induce 2 infield flys and hold us to 1 run. They scored 1 in the 3rd and in the 5th they loaded the bases, we brought the infield in and got the grounder to second to throw home for the first out, next batter hits a hard come backer to Lex who threw home to induce the home to first double play to end the inning with no runs scored. in the 7th Mike Bintz led off with a long double to right, and we were able to punch across the run. Lex made it stand and the Met's ran there record to 7-3. Great job by the hummers John latore who also threw a beautiful game in defeat.
Congrats Bones!!! Beating the Silvers at New Scotland and the Hummers at Gruner, back-to-back, is quite an accomplishment in this league. When do you play the O's?! You better be careful. The second time around to these teams you won't sneak up on them.
Mike, Thanks for the kind words, This has been a fun season as we learn to play together. I hope we can continue to keep up the magic as the season progresses. As for the next time we only play you guy's in the 2nd season .
