friend and teammate al hart (no relation) just sent me a note, reminding me to start drinking lots of water now - during the day as well as at our upcoming games - because the thermostat is supposed to start whistling in the 90s for the next three days or so. after that, accuweather predicts a sunny, cool stretch of summer weather, with temperatures in 70s. (say ahhhh.)
last year's heat spell hit lots of us with a solid whack, and should serve too as a reminder: so, each time you pass the water cooler at work or the kitchen sink at home, do what the scientists do, hydrate. we may all walk around a little bloated, but it'll be a cool bloated.
thanks Mike, also watch your catchers closely. dehydration is quick and can be deadly. notice unresponsiveness....Ok most catcher would qualify rigth off! ...but seriously throw some water on him, in him and cool him out and no catcher should go the whole game.
