In perspective, I told my team after we jumped to a 10-0 lead after two that if we laid down, we'd lose. Note final score. As I told Reds manager Dennis Reuter after the game, the Giants were going to continue to try and steal bases, hit & run, and do whatever it took to increase the lead from 10-0. I as never comfortable till darkness set in after the 6th inning.

In short, Carlos Llera gets the "Teammate'' of the game award. Not having played SS all year, he played a great game defensively, then for good measure walked, got hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, singled and doubled in a run, scoring twice. Oh, and that "Teammate'' award??? He wasn't even supposed to be at the game. You see, his wife gave birth to their son David on Friday!!!
