A beautiful morning for baseball @ the Knick on Sunday, and the Met's came out on top by the score of 11-1. A good thing this game was played @ the knick instead of the smaller fields, because their would have been about 5 to 6 home runs between the two teams. John Kalinski led the HIghlanders with a pair of long doubles, which both times we were able to strand him. The Mets manager made his 2nd start of the year and held them to 4 hits over 41/3 inings and Dan Maynard closed the door. On offense the first 8 batters all had at least 1 hit led by Dan Maynard with 2 long hits and a sac fly and Tommy Smith with 2 hits, Mark Meyers with 2 hits and a walk and myslef 2 singles. A great game overall and good luck to the highlanders in the playoffs as this was not indicative of how they can play. Thanks, Jim Bonaparte Met's 10-8
