I must congratulate the Orioles on their win today. It came down to the bottom of the seventh, and the winning run scored with two outs as it sometimes does but let me congratulate two of the "old timers" Dick Stark and Mario Arduini who led off the bottom of the seventh with a single to right and a single to left both going the other way. Follow that with a walk and the three run lead the Cards had was seeming smaller.Taz Nicholls called his own exit and made way for Freddy Mc. Freddie walked a run then induced a grounder toward the hole that first baseman Herb Carter speared and made the tag on the runner to first and followed with a throw to the plate with a chance to nail the tying run at the plate but the plate ump called the runner safe tying the game. Freddie Mc got a short pop to left to get the second out but he then hit Keith Landry with a fastball that will leave a mark to load the bases again & then Dijohn extended the O's season while ending the Cards with a clean base hit to right.
