All-Star games at Joe Bruno Stadium

This has come upon us rather quickly, but we are playing each division's all star game this Saturday at Joe Bruno Stadium.

The tentative schedule is:
9:00am 47+ division
11:45am 38+ division
2:30pm 28+ division
5:30pm HR derby

All games will be seven innings. Since there is limited daylight, we are going to impose time limits on all games so we can complete all games and allow all players to have something to eat and drink. We will probably not allow the start of a new inning 2:25 into the game. Time limits should not be an issue if it's a well-played game.

The home run derby will start approximately 5:30pm. Since we will conduct the HR derby until darkness, we are asking anyone who wants to participate to pre-register. Anyone can participate. All registered contestants will participate first and if there's time, others will be allowed. To register, send an email to cdmsbl@gmail.com

All players are welcome to come and watch and have something to eat and drink.

The CDMSBL is supplying food and beverages from noon till 6:00pm. We will have beer/soda and hamburgers/hotdogs.

In order to have an approximate count of how much food and drink we need to provide, please let your manager know if you are going to attend the all-star festivities. Managers will be submitting head counts to us.

Long range forecast is sunny and 75 degrees.

Let's have a great turnout this Saturday.

Kevin,
Are we planning on providing food and drink to just the players, or are we planning on feeding their families too?

I would like to send out my "Thanks" to all who were involved in getting the Allstar game at the "Joe" and also to those who worked the grill, and the games.
The food was great, and it was really nice to play at a field of this caliber. It has been a long time since the league put on a show like this.
The last time I can remember was when Dick Stark was the commish. and we were at Double Day field in Cooperstown for the finals and the Allstar game.
Nice to see some money spent. Thanks again. Hope we do it again next year.

Scott Clement

PS: All my groupies send a shout out to all the 28players for a great game!!!!!!
