In a game shortened by darkness, the Braves beat the A's 12 to 5 Tuesday night at New Scotland for their first win.

The game was marked on both sides by pichers having a hard time finding the plate.

Matt Leinung and Don Ball combined for the Braves win.

Dave DeMaria, Jose Moreno, Mike LaBarge, Artie Gianakos, Dennis Maille and Alan Hart all had singles for the Braves.
