The Yankees, led by the strong pitching of Rick Loffredo who K'd 6 and yieldeding only 2 hits and no runs in 5 innings of work. and Jerry Solomon striking out 6 in the final 2 innings defeated the Cougars 14-1 on Sunday. Offensively, Paul Celentano led the Yankee 19 hit attack with 4 singles. Todd Baldwin chipped in with 3 hits (single,double,triple) as well as Kevin Jackson 3 hits (triple,2 singles).
Being a rookie and getting my first hit as a yankee was a great feeling.I think I can become the "Pete Rose" of this league. Not that I plan on getting 4256 hits,but I can see myself being thrown out of the league for gambling on my own team. BC
