On a nice night for baseball the Dodgers outlasted the Black Sox 8-5.Well played game on the part of both teams. For the Dodgers Ed Rogers started and gave up 3 runs in 5 innings of work.Brett Conlin came in for the last 2 innings to earn the save.Gino Rodriguez and John Reardon each had 2 hits for the Dodgers. The Black Sox were led by Don Wixon and Greg Hoin who each had 2 hits. The Black Soxs threatened in the 7th inning with 2 runners on when Chuck Stanley hit a shot up the middle that the pitcher made a nice play on to end the game.
Congratulations to Ed and his Dodger teammates. They played a solid game, starting in the first inning by recording 3 hits in a row. They hit the ball well, made the plays in the field and ran the base smartly. Good group of guys and wish you luck the rest of the season.
