Just want to let everyone know that there will be a bake sale all day long (9-6) this Saturday at the West Albany field. As some of you know this is a beautiful field and we can expect many games there this year and in future years. As part of our goodwill lets make an effort to help these 16 year old girls raise enough money to buy new uniforms and to travel to an up coming tournament.
I will be there to have breakfast Sat morning if anyone wants to join me.
Joe, I appreciate your efforts and will pass the word to my Jays 37 club along with my 47 Yankees club. Fields are hard to come by and by all means call me when you get a chance. I can put a call into the Rotterdam Town Supervisor in regard to possibly use the Memorial Park field in Rotterdam. I've talked to Steve Tommasone on two ocassions last year and he was very open in assisting us in landing that field for league games, both in the 37 and 46 divisions. We can both pay him a visit if you are available someday, just let me know and I'll set it up.
i'm assuming that since you'll be there for breakfast on saturday, joe, that that's also when the bake sale is? (i'll pop by and urge my fellow teammates on the braves & vets, to go, too.)
i wonder if the directions to the field might be posted in the field directions on our web site - and for that matter any other fields we use that are not yet posted?
