The A's Jeff Kruzinski fired another gem in beating a solid White Sox team 5-1 on Friday the 20th at West Albany. Jeff tossed his 4th complete game running his record to 4-0, scattering 5 hits and allowing just 1 run. He also had two hits. A. Marin, L. Mawrey, E. Class, S. Travis, and J. Haff each chipped in a hit as the A's run their record to 5-4 on the season. The White Sox ???????? pitched a solid game giving up just 7 hits in the losing effort.
I would like to add a little note. This game was schedule for SUNY which was under 3 inches of water between 2nd and 3rd base. Found out that West Albany was open so we moved the game to that field. When we got there it had just poured - again - but with a little grooming the field was in great shape and easily playable. Thanks Joe C for finding this place. It is a good place to play with real fans watching our games. Now if the concession only sold beer - would 6 packs be too much to ask?? Ray
