The Black Sox exploded with 8 unanswered runs in the top of the 8th inning to go on and defeat the Yankees 12-4 at Satellite field. Joe Sarubbi shined on the mound and went a complete 8 innings pitching very well against a potent Yankee club. Not only did Joe pitch well, he came through with a key bases loaded triple in the top of the 8th. He showed why he's the MVP of the 47 league. A number of Yankee miscuses in the last inning opened the flood gates and could not overcome the 8 run deficit. Jerry Solomon went 4 innings and and left with a 4-2 lead. Todd Baldwin chipped in with 2 hits for the Yankees. Congrats to Donnie and the the Black Sox team for a well deserved win.
Thanks Mike. It took us 30 innings over 2 seasons but we finally got a win against a great, and defending champion, Yankees team. Look forward to perhaps meeting you in the playoffs.
