Preliminary tourney plans are for 25+ and 45+ divisions, although my goal is to take a 35+ team. If enough interested teams, they may add a 35+. I plan to play regularly on the grecian formula divisions, but would mostly manage a 25+ team.
That's a guaranteed 5, and potential 7 game tourney. Haven't checked myself but non-stop r/t airfares are said to be around $200 per from JFK to San Juan multiple times daily. Monday is President's Day, so should be a free travel day unless you want to stay longer.
Haven't scoped hotels, not sure what situation with "you can stay with my ....." while there. Have heard "pick-up" games happen and can have 2-3 more games while there.
$185/per guy paid directly to tournament; doesn't matter how many guys we carry, it's per guy. I'd probably collect $200 per guy which would give us roughly $200 to buy two coolers and keep them stocked for at least a while.
Sounds like we get two new bats per team, and t-shirts for all. Should be barbecues etc. after the game, and all stadiums should resemble our minor-league facilities.
