Accurate standings for 37 division

With the regular season winding down, and seedings and pairings for the playoffs fast approaching, now is a good time for all mamagers in the division to confirm their records to Kevin, or post them here.

There are some games that have slipped through the cracks. The A's are apparently 10-6, the Cubs are 9-6. More teams are affected. Adding up the wins column and the loss column shows a discrepancy, as of 7/25.

There have been several recent posts on this bb about the 37 division standings.

The reportng of scores for 37 division games has been sporadic, at best. Only a few managers have been diligent about reporting scores in a timely manner.

There are three 37 managers who haven't reported any score all year.

I recently asked the 37 managers to give me their corrrect records so I can post their team's correct record in the standings. Once agian, the response was sporadic.

If your 37 division team's record is not accurate, it's because your manager is not submitting your team's scores.

Kevin makes a good point - although it's time to start naming names. Who are the three managers/teams that haven't reported anything? Which teams didn't reply to your request for information?

There are 14 teams in this league -- which is about 4 to 6 teams too many, based on quality of play, committment to the league/team etc. If you continue to have to borrow players just to fill a roster, it's time to weed some teams out. If teams can't comply with protocol, get rid of them.

I know it looks good in Hardball Magazine to SAY the league has grown to this or that, but I'll take quality over quantity anyday.

So. when do the 37's start the playoffs, and where do we play?

Jonny Martin

PS I'm not the manager, but the Cubs beat the Reds today (Sat 7/26), and our official record is now 10 up and 6 down.

Silver Marlins are 10-4-1 with 3-2 loss to the Hummingsbirds on Friday 7/25.
Golden Marlin record is correct.
Platimun Marlins is correct ; 52 standings are correct except for last Mondays hawks win over the Grey Cougars...the Platinum Marlin /Maericans games was rained out on 7/22.

My apologies for not reporting all our scores.

The 37+ A's are 10-6 as of 7/26/08.

Without the schedule - which would be totally worthless at this point - I cannot tell you which games you are missing.

This problem goes WELL Beyond the 37+ standings. This website has been substandard for quite some time and it seems as though we have these discussions every year. It used to be that the one division you could count on for accuracy was the 37's and now that seems to have faded as well.

It's time to take to take up the offers of the people who constantly say, "I'm willing to help." The 27's have a great website - it's interactive, user-friendly and updated in a timely fashion. There is absolutely no reason to have a completely outdated website in this day and age. If I was a visitor thinking about joining this league, I'd be hesitant based on the website.

Duties can be split up amongst many people. One can do schedules/standings, one can do league news, one can update fields, etc. Why do we continue to lag 15 years behind everyone else?
