The Mets vs. Marlins game found a hole in all that rain yesterday and the Silver Marlins came out on top 7 - 2. Phil Gadomski again came up big in a big game for the Fish, giving up just two runs to the Mets line-up, that looks like the USA Olympic weightlifting team. Mash scattered four hits through five innings to pick up the win. Lex Harlett showed his guts by pitching into the fifth inning for the Mets, with a sore pitching shoulder, having just pitched a complete game on Monday. The Marlins line-up took a little time to get going but ended up with 9 hits and 6 walks in their 5 innings. Curt Coons led the Marlins offense with two hits. The Fish sweep the season series with the talented Mets ball club and solidify their chance to avoid a Saturday playoff game. If the Fish can get by a tough Highlander team Friday night, they would finish in third or fourth and advance directly to the quarter finals. Good luck to Jim Bonaparte and the Mets in the Playoffs.
I cannot believe we played last night, I went threw a monsoon on the way to the field, but new scotland sat field never got any rain. Congrats to the Marlins on there win, we finished all 20 games which with the rain was a big accomplishment. Good luck to all in the playoffs, it should be exciting this year, with some changes in the standings from previous years. Thanks to all for another great season of baseball.
