The A's beat the Shaskys 7-1 on Saturday at New Scotland behind the strong pitching of Brian Kent. George Schillinger paced the A's going 3 for 3 with an rbi and Herb Cepeda went 2 for 3 with 3 stolen bases. Defensively Will Ferguson made several sparkling plays . The A's move on to face the Marlins in a best of 3 starting Monday at New Scotland.
Note: Just so you all know, the reason I end up doing the posts this way is (1) David has the book and can do the recaps; (2) He works on an Apple and cannot post directly to the site, so he sends me recap - which I post; (3) I think I write in a much more entertaining fashion than David and do not want to have our fellow members think I am writing this; and (4) I have run out of potato jokes. - Ray
