while good weather accomadated the 19 teams entered in this 17th annual tournament, far more critical factors allow this event to unfold without a hitch. If my own 15 years of experiience hosting this taught me anything Kevin Jackson is sleeping right now after staying up the whole weekend. And his work started way back in early June with marketing, and later with securing fields and pre-planning. He then did his homework and re -checked and collected funds and laid out a schedule that had all the teams special requests considered. For instance he minimized out of town teams travel where he could, even getting the Brsitol team games at that nice Kinderhook HS field so they could better commute home on Saturday evening....the details and logisitcs are mind numbing. 40 games in just 2 days on 8 fields ....so hats off to our President and tourny chairmen Kevin Jackson. And a salute to the champions, especailly our own 25+ Angels. I hope next year we increase the local entries in the 35+ divsion and add a possible 55+. And while Kevin holds the responsibilty for things I know it also cannot be done alone and I'll let him point those folks out. Hey 17 years and its still the longest continously held MSBL regional !
Great job in organizing the tournament even when teams entered the last days or week. I know the teams we played all were having a great time as our team had.
Kevin, You are a godscent for our Senior Mens leagues. With your efforts, you have truly done a fantastic job in the 2008 season, as well as past campaigns. Great job with the Labor Day tournament Kev. Do you think we could add a 3rd shift league started (winter), maybe we could play at that indoor bubble off Route 7 in Latham !!!!!
