Reds

OK, What happened to the Reds? It was my understanding that they were going to field a team. Anyone help me on this?

I was advised on Jan. 2 that the Reds were not fielding a team this year.

OK. Any specific reason why?

No reason was given, just that they were not entering a team in the 35+ - E-mail was from John C.

I want to invite any former Red's players left stranded by this move to contact me regarding joining the Silver Marlins for the upcoming season. We are currently looking for outfielders and pitchers. Please e-mail me (mgirard11@nycap.rr.com) if you are interested in joining "Team Teal" for the 2009 season. With just one or two additions, the Silver Marlins could regain their rightful place in the 35+ championship photo for 2009. Someone once told me: "When one door closes, somewhere a window opens." This could be your opportunity to join a great bunch of guys who have a blast each and every game.

The Braves would also invite any former Reds players looking for a new team to contact me about joining us for the 2009 season.
