Bill Kervan went a full 6 innings to get the pitching win against the Hawks on Monday night , 16-5. Bill k's 6, and only gave up 6 hits on the night. Jim LaTorre opened up for the Hawks, and yielded 12 runs, but to be fair,was hindered by some tough errors in key situatinos of the contest over his 5 innings on the mound, and gave way to Art Gianakas to pitch the 6th. The Yankees pounded out 17 hits, and were led by Tim Brown leading the way with 4 hits, Mike Eplite 3, and chipping in with 2 hits each were Steve Vangelder,Matt Kelly,Wayne Newcomb and Bill Kervan. Yanks improved to 3-0 and looking forward to meeting the 2008 champs Platnum Marlins (3-0). on Tuesday, June 2nd at New Scotland.
