Once again, it's a privilege to play baseball in the CDMSBL on a beautiful night in Burnt Hills. The game was back and forth from the first pitch and ended in a 4-4 tie. Some of our guys said that it was the most exciting game they have every played in. The idea that the Shaskys hung tough with the Mets, one of the greatest teams in the 35 division, was in itself a milestone. We are a throw-together team with Ace Grocki and Snuffy Burns at the helm. Also, let me note that CDMSBL legendary member Mike Hart pitched 8 complete innings for the Shaskys while simultaneously collecting donated old baseball gear for Roberto's Kids Organization in itself makes me proud to be his teammate. Anyone that knows Mike knows he is the most generous person that is quick to help players hone skills and helps to pinpoint a player's areas where they need improvement. Once again, a great night in America, and thanks to all the players who played hard to make it a very competitive game for all.
