Sorry for the late post. Game was on Monday 5/2 - shortened to 5 innings by darkness and two school teams on the field until almost 6:30. Art Gionakos pitched well for the A's and Wayne Newcomb had two hits. Newcomer Kevin Golden scored winning run on a heads up play on overthrow back to the pitcher. Ed Class pitched the fifth for the save, getting Girard and Mitchell on popups with two on in the fifth. Too bad the game was shortened. Don't have my book in front of me and the details are sketchy due to age, but it was a good game.
