Back In The Area And Looking To Play

My name is Ron McCarthy, some of you may know me already. I am a lifelong resident of the Capital District, I have played baseball and softball there for many years in many different leagues. In October of 2007 I returned to active duty with the Air Force which obviously took me away from the Capital District and local sports. I have returned to NY in June and I am ready to play again. Unfortunately I am living in NYC. I come home every weekend and I would love to play baseball in the league. I tried to get onto a team in the 45 division which plays on weekends, but I am 4 months too young. I am allowed to substitute for any team in that division, and I am available every weekend. I also am looking for a team to play the labor day tournament with. I feel I would be an asset to any team and would appreciate it if you could help me to play. 518-728-8567

I will tell you guys that Mr. Mac plays a solid third base and hits the s**t out of the ball. He is certainly good enough to play on any 35+ team, and would make a great addition to any labor day tourney roster. He pounded the Golden Marlins in a game with the Yankees earlier this year.

That's because he's another Rotterdam boy. Welcome back Ronnie!

Ron, You know you have a home with the Yankees for the rest of the year. See you on Sunday. I played with Ron in the past. I think his hitting against the Marlins was a fluke, so just throw him fastballs down the middle and see if he can hit it. Glad to have you back in the area.
