Is this the sort of wit and wisdom you exercise on the board? It's fairly pathetic considering you're supposed to be so highly regarded.

I am unsure of John's intention here but it did sound like a "jab" to these 2 teams Rob. I would not be happy as a Blue Jay or Brave if i read it.....just my opinion

you both take me wrong. I was , perhaps clumsily, eluding to the availability of borrowing players so games could be held. The failure of that in the face of the fact that after Saturday 5 whole teams and perhaps 75 players will not have a game to play. One could be very well be me and my teammates.
no wit nor wisdom intended. just seems sad really;no more games and no one willing to fill in . my apologies to anyone offended.

Wow Rob!
You have done nothing but complain!
What wit or wisdom have YOU offered here?
Now you are twisting words and personally attacking the man most responsible for the league you played in these past few years. Shameful!
I have no idea why you think that the board is to blame for your team's poor play this year. It might be at least entertaining to hear that instead of the whining that I am reading from you this morning.
I know that, reading your rants this morning have me wanting my release so that I can play on a team that you manage next year. I hope that you are ready for a whole bunch of new recruits when the "free agent" season opens.
I am with Jon Martin on this, and wish you a lot of luck in your new league.

"Wow Rob!

Seriously? Do you have this pasted to one of your "F" keys? It's your rubber-stamped response to anything that anyone says regarding changing something. It's pretty old now, Mike and you should either branch out and get some new material or maybe try, I don't know.... opening your mind up a little?

"What wit or wisdom have YOU offered here?"

Feel free to go back and read my posting history. Also, I received numerous compliments for the way in which I ran the website and how it's a positive change for the league. I also started the 25+ website three years ago despite heavy criticism from the board and now every division uses it. I'd say, already, that's more than you've offered. Also, I am working with Quentin on developing an idea that will help create a bit more competitve balance without forcing player movement. I'll be interested to see your response, though I'll go ahead and offer my prediction: You'll probably say, "Wow Rob! You have done nothing but complain." Luckily, you probably only have to push "F12" and change the blank space to "Rob."

"Now you are twisting words and personally attacking the man most responsible for the league you played in these past few years. Shameful!"

So all you have to do to be able to hurl insults on a public forum is to have been League President? What then are your qualifications? I'm twisting his words? How is that possible? The words are right there in black and white. Or is Mario31 wrong too? Hell, even John wrote an apology and acknowledged his words may have been taken the wrong way due to the way they were written. But I guess we're all wrong and you're right.

"I have no idea why you think that the board is to blame for your team's poor play this year. It might be at least entertaining to hear that instead of the whining that I am reading from you this morning."

Where did I say the board was responsible for my team's poor play? Go ahead and look for it because you won't find it. All I said was "why can't the board provide an avenue for the less competitive teams?" That's all. I senselessly assumed that the grown men of this league could think deductively. Perhaps I overestimeted in some cases.

"I know that, reading your rants this morning have me wanting my release so that I can play on a team that you manage next year. I hope that you are ready for a whole bunch of new recruits when the "free agent" season opens.

Way to take things out of context - again, READ WHAT I WROTE. I didn't say I was starting my own league. I said that I'd have an easier time trying that than to get something through the thickness of the board of this one. But again, I can't believe I expected you to be able to figure that one out.

Look Mike. I didn't want to take this to a personal level. Perhaps John had no intention of making it a personal attack, but he certianly didn't come across that way. Apparently I wasn't the only one who thought so because even Mario31 chimed in saying it sounded like a personal shot and he doesn't play for either team involved. He just has common sense. The fact that your defending the remarks is pretty pathetic. But keep on going. It only makes my "rants" all the more valid.
