Yankees got into Win Column beating Fordians 7-4 on Wednesday at Kelts Field.
Yanks used small ball in 1st against Fordians starter Jim Dalton, stringing 4 singles by Rod Smith, Jim Keegan, Brian Musella, and Mike Aiello to break on top 2-0. Fordians answered back on bottom of 1st, against Scott Card, with a 2-Run Bomb by Darnell Baker, in his first AB of the season. Dalton and Card settled in, with Fordians moving in front in the 3rd on a walk, Baker 2B, and Pat Alston's rbi single. Pinstripers came right back to take lead with 2 in the 4th, on base knocks by Gerry Solomon, Smith and Keegan. Matt Cater took over on the hill in the fourth and was lights out with 0 hits and 4 K's to knotch the save.
