I went down to Bleecker Stadium last night to catch the Twi-light League All-Star game. I had seen the article in the Times-Union regarding the game and they had the rosters listed. I saw Jim Shook's name listed along with a 19 year-old kid named David Balsamo, that I coached from age 9 to age 18. Mr. Shook was not in attendance, but they handed out a stat sheet at the gate as we walked in. Jim was voted Twi-light League pitcher of the year and had an ERA of 0.72!!! It looks like he is up to his same old tricks! We knew how dominant he was before he took his show to Bleecker.
