I know the 25 division had an all star game at Joe Bruno Stadium but i was wondering if there was going to be all star/all league games in the 35-45 divisions. It would be good to have this type of game earmarked on a yearly basis so it isn't forgotten or planned for..... Thanks, Mario
Over the past several years, the 35 division all-star participation has been paltry to say the least. Two years ago we had to make last-minute phone calls to any player that lived within 15 minutes of the field in order to have enough for the game.
That being said, I have put out at least four e-mails to the managers seeking input, etc. I have not received more than two responses (out of 13 teams) per e-mail with no definitive suggestions.
I'm more than happy to get something planned, however am not going to waste time, effort and the league's money for 13 guys to show up.
The first weekend in October is the first weekend after the 45 playoffs finish, however I will be out of town that weekend. I can assist with some of the setup, but will obviously be limited since I am on a plane on Thursday prior to the game. I will be in town the second weekend and would suggest October 10th as a date.
The Home Run Derby is always a hit. We can either have a baseball game, wiffle ball, horse shoes, or whatever. I will have full coolers and hot grill if we decide to pull this off.
If we do 10/10, that gives you guys three weeks to come up with a format, etc. I will get the field, equipment, food and beverages lined up if I can get the commitment from the division.
It seems like the 35 season gets over the earliest. Maybe in the future we could get 2 or 3 players from each team selected by there respective managers and play a game similar to the 25 division. Just a thought for future times if anyone is interested. Thanks guys, Mario

Perhaps it might be a good idea to have a 25+ v. 35+ all-star game? It would limit the number of spots per team, but with the 35 division getting an influx of talent from you young whipper-snappers perhaps the time has come?
Granted it was post-season, but the 25 v. 35 all-stars was when we had to work the phones last minute to field a team. Even with that, we humbled the young 'uns.
