The Highlanders defeated the Peppers tonight at CBA field in a game which was closer than the score might indicate. The Highlanders led by only a 5-2 score at the end of five innings. Kevin Jackson pitched a complete game and allowed only one earned run and four hits. Kevin also helped himself with two singles and David Reed drove in the Highlanders first run with a nice shot over the left field fence. Mike Hart pitched a solid five innngs, only surrendering three hits. Harris(sp?) had two RBI's for the Peppers.
