I WAS JUST LOOKING OVER THE 28+ SCHEDULE FOR JULY. EVERY ORIOLES GAME IS AT 9AM.WHAT DID WE DO TO DESERVE THAT? THERE ARE 9AM,1130AM,2PM AND 430PM GAMES ON THE SCHEDULE. HOW COME WE CAN'T GET A LATER GAME OCCASIONALLY? IT WOULD ONLY SEEM FAIR FOR US TO PLAY A GAME WHEN WE ARE AWAKE!
When the schedule is made out, I send an email out to all the managers requesting any days off or special times to play. The Mets would like to play on Saturdays, the Yankees and A's early in the day, the Brewers before 12:00 for their work reasons etc, etc. No reply was given for your team. They are happy to be playing. The normal opinion from the League 28+ members is they prefer to play the early games for the most part. In fact, two members of the Orioles requested that your team plays as many games at Harris Field in July and August. That field is available from 9-12 on Sat and Sun after the required paperwork for the town is filled out. Make up games will be moved to Harris then when possible.
Since the times for the fields we use are mostly limited before noon, logically mostly games will be played before noon. (i.e. 9:00 Am Sat and Sun at the Knick, UALBANY and now Harris) gives us 6 out 10 game slots for 9:00.
Plus, teams that help us secure fields will get priority if possible on their requests. The Orioles assisted on Harris and they requested to play games there. We will attempt to fill that request where possible.
Please feel free to discuss this with me at any time.
