I understand Steve Lounello has access to someone who makes maple bats at very reasonable prices. Does anyone have Steve's number as I'm looking to order some bats. Or he can reach me at 542-0395.
For a more personalized selection or to have a custom made bat made to your specifications , check out mattbats.com , he's a local guy who has expertise in various wood types & grain patterns . A bunch of guys in the league use them. You can even go up to his shop and get "sized up " .
Arthur, I was recently at the local KB bat store , and they have an excellent selection of bats that you may want to check out. Thin handles,with a VERY large sweet spot,some 10-12 inches in circumference. the associate who I spoke with assured me that even an older fella such as yourself would be extremely impressed with the whip action and power generated by these "new era " bats.
