A good, crisp game shortened by darkness and rain. We barely got it in, concluding after the Fordians batted in the top of the fifth. Mike Kane pitched for the Pirates and was coldly efficient. Our defense played well (except for one bad play with two outs in the 5th that allowed two runs). With two runners on board, Kane got the dangerous Jack Perry to strikeout to end the game. Offensively, we scored one run in each of our four frames. You hate to see a game cut short by the weather, but the umpires made the correct call.
