The Highlanders defeated the Fordians 10 to 6 on Wednesday night, July 13, at Kelts Field. Kalinski pitched a complete game for the win, Dalton took the loss. Jackson led the Highlanders with three hits and Dunbar led the Fordians with two hits. In a see-saw battle, the Fordians broke on top with three runs in the top of the first. The Highlanders responded with five runs in the bottom of the inning. The Highlanders continued to chip away and built a 10 to 4 lead going into the top of the seventh. The Fordians fought back, scored two runs, and had the bases loaded when the final out was made.
