Everyone who can still play at the age of 55 and older is a winner. I think that there is a deeper appreciation for the sport, your teammates, and your opponents, at this level. That being said, the defending champs, the Yankees, are the preseason favorites. The rest of the league will not be handing them the crown, however. The games will be played, and in 4 months we shall see the results. Good luck to all. May you stay healthy, and forever young. Jim Porter-Manager-WhizKids-55+ Division

I predict the weather will be better in 2010 than it was in 2009.

FEWER RAINOUTS THIS YEAR!

I predict:
1. Nate Novack, Jim Shook, JJ Pearsall, Joe Burns, and Pete Westfall will be tough pitchers in their divisions.
2. Tom Maney will be throwing better left-handed than some guys throw with their natural side.
3. Artie Gianakis, Don Wixon, and I would have a photo finish in a foot race.
4. And once again, 99.99% of us will enjoy playing baseball in the CDMSBL, no matter what age.

Good Luck to all, play heatlhy, and our thought are with Mike Hart.

My prediction is that Mike Hart will be back on the diamond before June 1st.
That guy is winning a fight that most would not have. His heart of a lion will win out!
Look forward to seeing you back at 100% Mike!

Amen to that Mike.

By the way, Eddie I'll give you and Don a 5 foot headstart.

Artie....you better make that a two foot start to give yourself a chance to catch up AT the finish line. I bet if your shirt was NOT tucked in, you would stand a better chance of winning this "foot race". Where is Paul Celentano to make it interesting????

Between those guys a five foot hero would be a finish line to shoot for...

Good Luck Everyone...man it was a tough track yesterday....but a nice job by the groundscrew at New Scotland, thanks guys.
