Where is the Cohoes Field?

Does anybody know where the Cohoes Intermediate Field is, the one that the 35 Division is starting to play games on?

Thanks,

Tony Grocki

I went to a field tonight. It said "Cohoes Intermediate Babe Ruth" on the grandstand. I assume this is the Cohoes field.

This field has been added to the "Field Directions" on the main page. (CIBR)

There are lights at this field. I don't know if they work. The field was mowed, but there is grass growing in the infield dirt. The field was locked, so I could not walk on the field.

According the signs on the outfield fence:

LF 234ft
LC 306ft
C 360ft
RC 309ft
RF 225ft

Sweet!....can't wait to play here next Wednesday night...work all day..rush to the game fighting rush-hour traffic..change in the parking lot..play five or six innings, last two in the fading light on a field with grass growing in the infield. Game over..no drinking..go home. Sweet!

This Saturday the Cubs and A's will have to suffer and play at New Scotland on a beautiful field that has been mowed, raked and lined by the grounds crew under abundent sunshine for the entire seven innings or more. Once the game is over we will enjoy an extended cooler session and stare at the empty and available field.

Enjoy Cohoes, Burnt Hills, Farnsworth, etc...my fellow 35 managers!

Charming little field tucked into the lower bowels of Cohoes. My kids played there, very short down the lines but not terrible, least it has a fence. Imagine putting car headlights on poles and that's your light system. Good luck with that!

Let's not be too harsh!
I have coached at Cohoes Intermediate Babe Ruth as recently as 2008.
The infield was much better than West Albany's.
If you can pull the ball down the line, the dimensions are short, but from left center to right center, they are reasonable.
Pitching will be at a premium in games played here!
The lights are operable, but not great (similar to Bob Moore).
It is easy to get to off of I-787.
We could do a lot worse, like Farnsworth.

Not a bad field at all. I played many games on that field when I was growing up from when I was 13 till 18. With wood bats this will be a great field to use. Right down the lines are short but everything else is fine.

The field has some grass in the infield but its nothing a little work cant fix. Once we get keys to the shed we will get this field into great shape.

I always say if guys dont like playing on certain fields they are more then welcome to find other fields for us to play on as a league. If you have a field in mine feel free to send me the contact info and I will inquire about it. Remember lots of fields deny us access because of youth programs.

Thanks

This is all the more reason to have a CDMSBL baseball complex............ Just saying.

Getting good fields is getting harder and harder to come by.

I will repeat my suggestion that we approach those who have made fields available to the CDMSBL and offer contributions to improve the fields. Could we donate some infield dirt and labor for the field in Cohoes? or some new lighting at the Bob Moore? The benefits would be immediate and could be exchanged for reduced rates or additional field time.

As a side note, I am currently negotiating reduced rates for the fields at Bethlehem High School. I will know more after a meeting on May 26th.

What's the staus on the Coxsackie-Athens Field, the AD seemed to be very welcoming and the schoold board elections will be held next week so please support the school budget...as you all know it's the Athletic and Arts programs that seem to be the primary targets.
Remember playing Baseball is an ART...I said ART, not Artie...(just kidding)

Good Luck to all this weekend...
