Gary D'Ambrisi called yesterday to ask if Albany might have an interest to field a team in the new 58 and over Division in the Fall Classic.

This Division will be played the same week as the 45s and 52: Nov. 15-19.

Gary said he'd work with teams on age waivers, but only 2-3 of which he'd consider players 55 and over.

This is a wood bat tournament.

I told Gary I'd get back to him in a week or so to let him know the level of interest here.

I have thought for sometime that the teams we take and the possible other guys available in this league of that age could win down there. It lacks only someone to lead it. we have strong pitching from that age group (its what we have used in the 52's) . and many talented position guys. I encourage someone to take charge. winning makes that trip even more fun!
