Golden Marlins win a squeaker over the Blue Thunder in 8 innings.


I don't have the scorebook, but I can tell you that this game had everything.
Good defense, bad defense. The Marlins had three leads and the Thunder had three leads. There was good umpiring and bad umpiring. Fun was had by all!
The story for the Goldens was Ron Lochner as he went 4-4 (I believe).
Mike Ferraro hit a CLUTCH two out two RBI single to right to tie the game in the seventh inning.
The Goldens plated two runs in the top of the eighth inning and Phil Gadomski retired the last two Thunder batters with the tying run on third and the winning run on second. CLUTCH PITCHING!
There will be one more game between these two evenly matched teams on the last weekend of the season. I would be willing to bet that game will have some importance in the standings. We are all looking forward to it!
