The Dodgers squeaked out a tough victory Sunday over the Thunder 9-8. The Dodgers were up 8-2 after 4 innings when the Thunder fought back hard to score 5 in the 5th and 1 in the 6th to tie the game. The Dodgers then scored a run in the bottom of the 6th to take the lead and then held on in the 7th for hard fought victory.
Leading the way for the Dodgers were John Corrigan 3 hits including the game winning hit in the 6th, and Gino Rodriguez with 3 hits. Also Nick Kanellis and John Cortese 2 hits each. The Dodgers had 15 hits for the game. Wayne Newcomb picked up the pitching victory.
For the Thunder Steve VanGelder had 3 hits,scored 2 runs, and Matt Kelly contributed 2 doubles, scored 3 times and had 3 or 4 great catches in center that saved his team a few runs.
