Didn't look like we were going to get this one in as we drove through a good half hour downpour on our way down the Thruway, but the rain avoided Kingston somehow, and the game was on.
Bobby Bolt took the mound for the Orioles against John LaTorre for the birds. It was the usual back and forth contest between the long time rivals, but timely hitting fell for the O's this time out and after a two out, two RBI triple by Tony Nardacci in the 6th put the O's up 8-5, Bolt shut down the Bird's for the last couple of at bats. Final ended up being 12-5, but it had more of a nail biting feel to it than the score indicated. Sorry I don't have the book, or much remaining memory to fill in the names, but Jerry Hawkins had a couple of nice, clutch hits, as did Bobby Bolt for the O's.
Next game is Thursday at Bob Moore, 7pm. Should be another good one.
