Game 2 of the 18 division finals was a pitcher's duel.

Game 2 of the Finals pinned 2 of the premier pitchers in the 18 division. The Cudas sent Jim Shook to the mound and the Knights sent Wes Hayden.

Both pitchers seemed to have all pitches working. I would say both guys were topping out high 80's and mixing in some filthy off speed stuff.

The Cudas had 3 hits and the Knights 2 hits. The game went into extra innings with the Cudas scoring 1 in the 8th for the 1-0 victory.

Games 3 and 4 are tonigt on the front field (metal light poles) at the Clifton Commons.

Game 3 starts at 6 15 pm and Game 4 will start at 8 30 pm (if needed)

The Cudas have a 2-0 lead in a best of 5 series. With a win tonight they could become the 18 division champions.

Come out and support both teams.

Sounds like the Commons are the place to be tonight. 18 and 35 finals. They should open up the concession stand, sell some food and beer!!

This game was an "Instant Classic"! Had some of everything, with a web gem by Bill Berhle in CF, and Wes Hayden escaping 1st and 3rd, with 1-out in bottom 7th. Play that ended the game was a great stop by Knights 1B Leo Primeau, who dove flat out to get Chisena's hard smash, but the home pulled Knights C Fred Harris to back of the plate as Jim Shook scored the game winner.
Credit Shookie with a hustling 2B out of the box to start the 8th, narrowly beating the throw from left. This was after 8 shut-out innings by Shook, and Hayden was just as tough all game. This game spoke to the high quality of baseball played in this division. Tonight should be more of the same, with no quit in the Knights who will try to battle back from the 2-0 deficit against the "On Mission from South Troy" Cudas.
