I am posting the CDMSBL League Rules on the Homepage. Please look at them and if you think a rule should be revisited in the off-season please reply or email me personally as I am taking all the feedback from managers and players and presenting it at the board level.

A rule 9 managers have asked to be revisited is where it says if you have 10 guys at the game that all 10 need to hit. Everyone's argument is we should have the option to bat 9 or 10. Guys like to have the guy left on the bench for injuries or other reasons. If a guys a pitcher only he should not be forced to hit.
The only aspect of the rule about the batting order quantity I do not like is that when a manager bats more than 9 from the start and one has to leave he shouldn't then punished by taking the out. (if however you bat nine and a guy leaves punishment should go by rule as is.) In essence this rule is punishing a manager trying to keep his players happy over the prudence of keeping someone available in the rare event he needs him. lest we forget the rule allowing unlimited batting orders was to encourage playing time.
Tie breakers need fixing. be great if all divisions agreed on one set of tie breakers. taking into account tie games, not playing a full schedules or like amount of games and not playing balanced schedules. given that not sure it can be done! But I think after head to head, you need to consider some aspect of commonality , like record against teams finishing higher than you. using runs allowed like some tournies do where you face each other in short compact week is inappropriate for seasonal tie breakers. Not only do teams change over the course of the summer , it shouldn't be that a team considers shutting down an opponent in a blow-out in MAY just to preserve a low runs allowed in case of a tie in late August. shouldn't we be considering playing our benches, finding more pitchers, spreading innings instead? lets think on this one. jreel manager 45 golden marlins.
Much has been done to allow for free agency and a process derived for new teams that seeks to have divisional, presidential and managerial input and even a veto. I hope these two new features work to bring some order to what has been chaotic and caused a lot of angst . please comment on these as they were Board derived...
Finally there are 2 ways to make or change a rule. the Board has that power as witnessed with the "free agency" , and "new team" rule. the other is to go through the divisional process during the off-season and seek the approval via the board in your divisions commissioner's Season Plan. Its more likely that the second approach will gain the most attention and naturally go thru a more in depth vetting process. the board does not normally entertain changes inside a division unless the divisional rule change and presentation process has failed, it seeks rule conformity (like the COC rule) or a proposal is in opposition to a league tenet already established. jreel, board member
