When my kid was in little league we always volunteered to (help) staff the Holiday Lights in Washington Park and i have been talking to the people at the Albany Police Athletic League about CDMSBL volunteering to help out one night.
Looks like it will be Thursday 12/23 .... it runs from 5:30 until 9 and we always went out afterward if that interests anyone. I don't know how many we need but if you have any interest please post a reply.
In addition to helping them with this it may open some doors for us to get access to the Legion Field so a strong showing may help all of us.
I will put you down for the 23rd! I expect that to be a busy day, since it is Santa's last day in the Lake House (big trip to plan, you know!). I can use about 6 people for costumes, and 1 or 2 people to assist with changing, walking them in and out, etc., 1-2 people for raffle, and 2 for Santa's Helpers. I probably could also use 1 experienced person who also doesn't mind being outside to assist with parking in front of the Lake House. I would need everyone to report by 5:30 to the Lake House, and that will be a late night--we close at 9:00 officially, but it may be open a little later if there is still a crowd coming in. We let them go thru the lights, and give them the opportunity to shop, so it could be as late as 10:00 before we are done.
