If your team has a sponsor, please send their info, (and if you are able, a jpg of their company logo) to me. We are compliling a League wide list for use on the main site.
Why do team sponsors deserve attention on the league website? Team sponsors make a contribution that help that team. In turn, it would be appropriate for the team to recognize their sponsor; perhaps with a listing on a team website. However, the team sponsor does not make any financial contribution to the league and they have certainly not paid to advetise on our website,
I think we need to maintain a distinction between team and league sponsors, We should not be offering league-wide benefits for team sponsorship.
I disagree. There has been a sponsor tab created for each divison. It has been discussed in the past about advertising on the website for a fee, and it hasn't gotten anywhere. Until there are figures, and costs discussed - I see no harm in getting the sponsors named on the sponsor tab for each division.

The current format provides a sponsor list within the age division page. The sponsor listing offers text information about the sponsors. The initial post here suggests that we include sponsor logos and that the information would be shown on the main page. I do not think that should be given to team sponsors.
At a time when league expenses and, therefore, team fees are increasing, we should look at the resources that we have that could contribute financially to the entire league. Our website offers a source of advertising revenues that could be shared by all teams.
Don, you have some good points here. I would agree that the individual sponsor tabs are one thing, and the main page another. There should be some sort of dollar limits placed on being able to advertise on the main page (i.e. $1000 - $1500). It should be fairly significant since there is limited space. Sponsors conbributing under anything deemed significant get limited advertisement on the separate division sponsor tabs.
As far a spreading the weath throughout the league regarding sponsorship money, the team bringing the significant sponsor should benefit most. If the soliciting team isn't going to be able to utilize the full amount, they should be able to benefit from getting the majority of the funds to reduce their costs. Some teams are more aggressive in solicitations. If advertising on the website is going to become a source of revenue for the league, and not just the soliciting teams, the board should set some paramters for advertising/sponsors. Maybe it can be part of the next CBA.
