Festive day set for Saturday Oct. 1 at New Scotland. The 47 all-star game will kick off at noon sharp. It will be followed by a HR derby contest, then followed by the 38 division all-star game.
BBQ all day, but bring food and a dish, bevs.
ALL PLAYERS in the 38s and 47s are eligible for the HR derby contest, not just those selected to the all-star teams. Metal bat or wood bat choice. Wood HRs count as 2, metal count as 1. Twelve swings each.
$5 entry fee with winner takes all. Separate winners for 47s and the 38s, though ANYONE is eligible. Younger than 38 will enter the open division.
Bring your own pitcher or I will throw. Girard, I'll pitch to you for a cut. Just duck on the first pitch!!!
I'll be entering the HR contest. With metal, I'm a shoe-in. So, spread the word. A nice way to end the season.
